Welcome to the GOP Unity Forum

April 11th, 2008 · 3 Comments

This new site has been developed in an effort to bring together the disparate factions within the increasingly contentious Republican Party to try to find common ground so that we can work together to fight our common foes.

No matter what differences we may have over certain volatile issues, we do all still share basic republican values of individual liberty, smaller government and fiscal responsibility. We also share a common interest in opposing the forces of greed, excess and oppression which are embodied in the Democratic Party in the United States and their international socialist allies worldwide. As the Democrats move farther to the left and closer to gaining power, unity among Republicans has become vitally important if we are to preserve our nations, our government and our freedoms.

We hope to attract representatives of all factions to this site to discuss issues and look for solutions in an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation. Let’s put our differences on hold and find common ground so that we can win the fight for the survival of our beliefs and our nation.

How This Site Works

April 10th, 2008 · No Comments

This site has a two part structure. Here on this front page you’ll find featured articles on Republican Party values and issues. It works more or less like a weblog, and you can respond to articles and post your comments. The oither main part of the site is the forums, which are designed for free flow and discussion of ideas on particular topics. Registered users can add topics and anyone can comment on them in a format which encourages the free exchange of ideas.

The forums feed the blog to a certain extent, because ideas developed there will eventually become articles published here and eventually passed on to our affiliated sites as syndicated content.

It all depends on your participation, both in the forums, and ultimately if you want to get more involved, as a writer. So get involved and let’s make some progress.

The Traditions of the Republican Party

Today the Republican Party is at a crossroads. It faces the choice of continuing down a path of failed leadership and forgotten principles, or taking the hard and rutted road back to its beginnings. The party was founded to restore the values of our founding fathers in a time when those values had been forgotten. Today as in 1854, the political system has fallen into the hands of greedy and ambitious leaders who disregard the rights of the people and promote ideas which are fundamentally unamerican because they see them as a route to greater political power and control. The forces of special interests, sectionalism, bureaucratic indifference and institutionalized oppression are stronger than ever before. They will not be stopped unless the Republican Party remembers its purpose and stands up against them.
