Walter Crane’s Illustrations for The Rosebud

The Rosebud and Other Stories by Arthur Kelly is one of the rarer and more unusual books illustrated by Walter Crane.

It is a collection of humorous and whimsical tales with strong fantasy elements.  The stories are fun, but what stands out art the Walter Crane illustrations which are exceptionally well executed and on topics which are outside of Crane’s usual sphere.

These include a set of framed illustrations called “Soap Bubbles,” a number of pictures depicting a magic mirror and the things it shows, and some humorous illustrations of a game of lawn tennis.

We’ve gathered all of the illustrations from The Rosebud into a nice little package for you to use in your projects.  They’re unusual enough and varied enough to be pretty useful. You can see full samples of the illustrations accompanying this article.

You can get the full package from our online store at a special price of just $12 with an immediate download. Just CLICK HERE
