Scriptorium Premieres Kindle Book Series


As you may have noticed, we have been producing complete PDF versions of many of the illustrated books which we use as source material for our collections. A logical next step seemed to be making those complete facsimile editions of classic illustrated books available on Amazon in Kindle format. Some of them are quite rare and are not available from any other sources in digital format or even as facsimile reprints.

We thought we’d start out with one of those rare ones and our first Kindle publication is Walter Crane’s Pan Pipes: A Book of Old Songs which just became available there earlier this week and we’ve just added two more titles, Queen Summer or the Tourney of the Lilly and the Rose (Walter Crane Archive) and The Golden Primer (Walter Crane Archive).

We plan to follow these releases up quickly with other Crane books as well as selected other fully illustrated books from other authors which are in our collection. Down the road we may also add some of the historic monographs on design which we have collected as well.
