Old French Nursery Songs Illustrated by Anne Anderson

nsongs1Our latest mini-package is a collection of illustrations by early 20th century illustrator Anne Anderson. We had an opportunity to acquire a number of her illustrated books for children from an estate sale and the first we’ve processed is “Old French Nursery Songs” which we are making available as an introduction to her art. She is a less well-known illustrator, but her evocative style is unusual and her talent is underniable

This mini-package contains all of the color plates from the book. It will eventually be part of an Anne Anderson package, but for now it is available to download for only $8. It contains 8 large size images, which are previewed below. You can download it from our ONLINE STORE.

I love Anne Anderson! I have a very old book (fairy tales, children’s stories, etc) with some lovely illustrations by her (one of my favorites is a plate that fills the entire page for the poem “There was an old woman who lived in a basket”).
Her work reminds me of Dulac and Rackham – the faces, colors… just beautiful.
Thank you for featuring her work!
