Grand Concours: New Font

Grand Concours is based on lettering designed for a poster for the equestrian competition which was held at the Paris Hippodrome starting in the 1920s.  The Grand Concours itself started in the 1860s, and is basically the French answer to an American rodeo.

The font is unusual and highly stylized in the art deco mode.  The upper case character set consists of outline versions of the characters designed to be overlaid as in the title in the example to the right. The font also includes a full set of numbers and punctuation.

You can try the DEMO version of Grand Concours for free. The demo version has a limited version of the character set. Or you can ORDER the full version for only $24.
