Momento Mori Font

Momento Mori Font

While working on a graphic design project we needed a font similar to the hand carved letter style used on tombstones in the 17th century. After doing a little research we realized that we already had a font which was quite similar, so we made some basic modifications and added some important characters and soon we had transformed the Primer …

Belsize: New Font

There are never enough stylish, bold, script fonts. Now there is one more with the release of our new Belsize font.

Belsize is based on a sample of calligraphic design from the 1930s by the Hunt brothers – the sign painters not the wealthy Texans who tried to corner the silver market in the 1980s. The font has some neat features, including custom spacing and kerning to make the lowercase characters link together beautifully.

Baraquiel: Featured Font

Baraquiel is based on an interesting style of calligraphic script we found in a turn-of-the-century magazine ad. Classic Font: Asrafel

Classic Font: Asrafel

We originally released Asrafel in 1999 after we developed it for a book cover project. It was conceived with the idea of combining art nouveau elements and calligraphic elements and to produce a look evocative of the feathers in the wings of a bird of prey. The result works well, with a kinship to our Abaddon font, but a less aggressive and more aesthetic look. The font includes capitals, small caps and alternate forms for many of the characters.
