Bathysphere – An Subaqueous Font

Bathysphere is based on a sample of hand drawn poster lettering from the 1930s. It has an unusual bubbly look, which inspired the name and the choice of graphics which draw on cover art of a Bathysphere from an issue of Modern Mechanix from the 1935.

Bathysphere has some elements in common with other fonts we’ve developed from designs of that same period, particularly fonts like Cosmopolis, Rounders and Fooks Grotesque. The full version of the font has a full upper and lower case character set plus numbers and punctuation.

You can try the DEMO version of Bathysphere for free to try out. It has a limited character set. You can ORDER the full version for only $24..
