Altenburg: Featured Font

<Altenburg was one of our early font releases, back in 1997. It has been revised several times since then with characters added and various improvements. Our attention was drawn to it by a customer so we decided it was due for a re-release with a few more revisions.

It is based on samples of early medieval hand lettering from carved stone inscriptions in a gallic gothic style. The characters are bold and readable and stylish with a genuine medieval look to them.

You can order the complete font with all the extra features from our Ordering Site.
