Finchley Font

Finchley is a curious font from the transitional period between Art Nouveau and Art Deco. It’s heavy and very stylized and reminiscent of some of the fonts of the psychedelic period. It’s good choice for poster designs and it’s a bit scary looking and sort of appropriate for Halloween designs. The upper case is an alternative, distressed version of the standard character set which works best in large sizes. It will probably eventually be added to one of our horror collections. You can try out the free demo version of Finchley for either MacOS or Windows, and the full version of Finchley is available on our Ordering Site

Marfield Font

Marfield is a fancy art nouveau era title font with relatively heavy character forms and neat little curled embellishments. The standard character set includes two different versions of most of the characters for nice variety. It’s an excellent font for headers, posters or other decorative uses. It will probably eventually be added to our Art Nouveau collection. You can try out the free demo version of Marfield for either MacOS or Windows, and the full version of Marfield is available on our Ordering Site

Chatellaine Font

Chatellaine is a decorative script font with elaborately flourished capital letters which despite being quite ornate, stay within the confines of the character space, so they would work well for signs or titles. It would be an excellent choice for menu titles or for formal invitations. It will likely eventually be added to our Script Fonts collection. You can try out the free demo version of Chatellaine for either MacOS or Windows, and the full version of Estoril is available on our Ordering Site

Estoril Font

Estoril is a bold display font with a unique look somewhere between the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. It’s typical of the kinds of advertising poster lettering which was highly influential on the nostalgic lettering styles of the Psychedelic period as well. It fits in well stylistically with both our Art Nouveau collection and our Psychedelic fonts. As for the name, it just sort of popped into my head. It comes from one of the famous watch movements manufactured by Hamilton Watch and used in high-end watches like the Rolex. You can try out the free demo version of Furbelow for either MacOS or Windows, and the full version of Estoril is available on our Ordering Site

Furbelow Font

What on earth is a ‘furbelow’? You may have heard the word in the phrase “ribbons and furbelows” and known from inference that it was something having to do with womens clothing. It’s actually decorative ribbon or ruffling applied to a piece of clothing, or in more general usage it’s defined as “something showy or superfluous; a bit of showy ornamentation”. In short, the perfect name for a font which looks like twisted ribbon and is extremely showy. Ribbon style fonts were quite popular at the start of the last century, and Furbelow is based on samples from that period. It fits in rather well stylistically with both our Art Nouveau collection and our Psychedelic fonts, which come from a tradition which draws on ornate Art Nouveau lettering. Furbelow is best suited to doing ornate titles. It also includes both a solid lower case character set and an outline-style upper case set. If you want lower case characters to go with it, try combining it with our Pullman font, or wait a bit and we’ll have a full lower case character set to go with it. You can try out the free demo version of Furbelow for either MacOS or Windows, and the full version of Furbelow is available on our Ordering Site

Abelarde Font

Abelarde is a classic medieval gothic style font which combines traditional blackletter style lower case characters with more ornate and decorative capital letters with some nice swash features. We’ve done some simpler fonts in the same general vein like Cymbeline, Aneirin and Perigord, but Abelarde takes the style to a higher level. Abelarde will probably eventually be added to the Medieval Fonts collection, but for now it’s only available on its own. You can try out the free demo version of Abelarde for either MacOS or Windows, and the full version of Abelarde is available on our Ordering Site
