Grammophon is based on German lettering from the Jugendstil Art Nouveau period, but the style is uncharacteristically rough and harsh in appearance, anticipating the Brutalist movement of a later era. The source for the style is an advertising flyer for an early record player from Munich in 1910.
Grammophon has a complete uppercase character set, but instead of lowercase characters it has underlined small caps which create a striking effect. The font has rough outlines and is ultra bold, which makes it great for titles.
There is no demo version of Grammophon, but you can ORDER the full version online for only $29.
