There's a peculiar style of letters that seems to only show up on some signs and letterpress posters and it caught my eye when I saw it being used in the recent poster for the National Day of the American Cowboy. It's like a western style "egyptian" font with big slab serifs and a very heavy weight, but it has the additional unique feature of all the rounded portions of of the letters being designed based on a hexagonal shape rather than truly rounded. It's a cool, dated look.
Our new Juarez font is a rendering of this particular style. It is designed to have the look of letterpress print, with two variations of the character set. One is about as clean and well rendered as a letterpress style font can get. The other has all sorts of breaks and imperfections like you find in lettepress letters printed from masters which have seen some substantial use.
The demo version of the font can be downloaded for free. If you like it, you can download the full version with both character sets from our ONLINE STORE for just $24.
